Fiona Brennan worked with the firm of Michael J. Staines and Company solicitors for over 20 years before setting up her own firm in 2015. Prior to her role in Michael J. Staines and Company solicitors Fiona clerked in the Public Defenders’ Office in Los Angeles County. She has a Bachelors Degree and a Law Degree (both First Class Honours) from NUI Galway.

Fiona Brennan has extensive experience in all areas of Irish criminal law, including District Court representation, Trial work in both the Circuit Criminal Court and the Central Criminal Court. She was in charge of  these areas within her previous office and further was also in charge of the Court of Criminal Appeal cases. Her experience extended to High Court bails, Judicial Reviews, Habeas Corpus applications, and advice to persons detained in both Garda stations and prisons. Fiona also trained new and junior colleagues in the firm Michael J. Staines and Company solicitors.

She has a deep understanding of the practice and procedure of Irish criminal law, and maintains a low profile, effective representation of her clients. She relies hugely on word of mouth recommendations, and her work is entirely client centred. She prides herself on representing her clients with as much tact and understatement as possible while still making all points, both legal and factual that need to be made.
